MIM PASTE FILL

The MIM Paste Fill plant had been designed and constructed some time prior to RJE's involvement, but was unable to achieve reliable production of cemented paste for the mine backfill system. RJE was commissioned to assist in the redesign of the plant process to achieve a reliable and robust process and process control philosophy. The RJE construction team implemented major plant Electrical and Instrumentation additions and modifications for both the surface and underground system to achieve the required process functionality.

 

The plant control system was re- designed to provide a robust and accurate recipe control algorithm. On completion of commissioning the plant was proven to operate at over 200% initial design capacity. The project costs were kept within the budget $550k
